After the post-WWII boom in new home ownership, demand heightened for quality soft furnishings at affordable prices. That's when we started making latex foam cushions and textile home decor. For the first 30 years you could have any fabric you wanted on your cushions, as long as it was corduroy. Then in 1981, Pitt talked his daughter Barbie into leaving her successful career marketing rock n roll albums to help with the family business. With a woman's insight into home decor fashions, she introduced designer fabrics into the line. After inheriting the company in 1990, she became our company President. The rocking chairs shown in our photos may be a different size than your chair. Be sure to measure your chair before ordering cushions. Wash on gentle cycle in cool water with a gentle detergent. Do not use bleach, brighteners, "color-safe" bleach, or harsh cleaning agents (strong acid or strong basic ph). Use caution before attempting stain remover treatment, test on a fabric swatch or inconspicuous area first. After washing, if cushions are dripping wet, press out any excess moisture with your hand, then air dry on a line or on a rack. To prevent fading, do not expose to direct sunlight. Turn periodically while drying. Allow at least 24 hours to dry completely. Do not use dryer or expose to strong sources of direct heat, this will degrade the foam.
