These are great, for those of us whose metatarsal fat pads are long gone. I can walk comfortably on any hard-surface flooring, when wearing these. They are extremely tight, so they won't accidentally come off. And I am a small person with small feet.This was too tightI actually found these while looking for something to help relieve sudden foot pain and tried these on a whim. The price for two pair here was a better value I thought since a lot of the other products I saw were for a single pair compared to two for basically the same price. I worried about quality but was pleasantly surprised to find them more durable looking than I thought they'd be.The material is smooth/soft and the elastic gives a strong support without feeling like it's cutting into you. The gel cushion at the ball doesn't feel too thick or "lumpy" and that's always nice too especially if you're new to wearing such. Having light and dark color options is nice too since it kinda blends in after a while when wearing them.I don't suggest wearing them /all the time/ of course but they're really nice if you just need some extra support on the more sore days!I will say however that these run a slight bit narrow in the width and toe openings so beware of this if you have a wider/larger foot size. They fit well on me but I can see someone else maybe having an issue with the fit in that specific area.Too thick so I couldn’t wear my thick cushioned socks. Go a hot spot on the side of my little toe, so I took them off and put my thick socks on. Waste of money.LOVE these little miracle workers! I am a distance runner who got diagnosed with pre-arthritis a year ago near my big toe/second toe of my right foot. I got a cortisone injection which helped for awhile, but once that started wearing off and I felt that ache start to come back, I was hesitant to keep getting injections. So my doc suggested metatarsal pads. I ordered these and after a few weeks of consistent use, the ache is all but gone. And I didn't change anything else and don't take medications, so I know the use of this product was what changed things. They stay on well and don't move around, too. I'm glad I found this!I ordered this product because I was recently diagnosed with a painful Morton's Neuroma. It hurts...a lot. I tried the pad that sticks to the inside of your shoe, but my foot must move around because throughout the day, the pad hits different spots on my foot and causes pain. I headed to Amazon and booya.... something I can wear on my foot. They just arrived today.It is a comfortable fit - at first seemed a little tight around my big toe, but a small adjustment, fits perfect and alleviates the pain. It is thicker than my normal sock, so I just had to adjust my laces.Honestly, so far so good, I have been walking around the house and have NO PAIN and haven't taken any medication. I actually feel like I can go for a walk tonight...and off I go!!! Actually feeling hopeful for the first time in 2 1/2 months!The fit is great very comfortable great support and cushion with easy cleaning for reuse.I'd tried 2 different metatarsal adhesive pads which are placed either in shoes insoles or your own orthotics. Neither of those were working for me-1 was too rounded in center & surface area of padding too small. Other had ok padding but still not enough surface padded. Both left horrible sticky residue when removed, too. These are extremely comfortable to wear as they are appropriately sized, have large gel pads that cover the metatarsal area from 1 side to the other. Plus, they just slip onto your bare foot to wear under socks, etc. They do take up a little more room inside a shoe, so may not be comfy in tighter shoes. But, with better shoes, I'm able to walk without any ball of foot pain, which is wonderful!!
